About me

Hi, I’m Josh Davis, an interior designer, and blogger. Here’s why you should definitely check out (all of) my posts.

I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. Ever since I was five years old, I loved to draw. I never drew mom, dad, my brother, and myself standing in front of our house holding hands. Instead, I drew all kinds of houses, buildings, living rooms, bedrooms, and furniture. You could say that I was a pretty weird kid. 🙂

Luckily, I had parents that paid attention to me and my interests. They supported me and encouraged me to get a master’s degree in interior design from the Houston Community College. Studying there made me realize I wanted to be an interior designer for the rest of my life.

Fresh out of college, I got a chance to travel all around the world. I visited Japan (and loved seeing Japanese studio Embroidery do their magic). Then, I hopped over to London to meet the well-known artist Christy Roman. Later on, I visited France, Germany, and Italy, as well.

Once I got back to my hometown, I began working as an interior designer. But it wasn’t enough. I soon realized that I have so many things I wanted to share with the world. So, I started writing posts and discovered that I am actually good at blogging. Ha, who knew?

And that’s how this blog came to life. I started blogging in 2017, and we are still going strong.
